CCSA - safety shelter

Winters are cold, let’s be honest; however, we are here to warm you up while enjoying winter sports. Each September we clean up and repair our warming hut/safety shelter in preparation for winter. Then we move it to the top of the Beartooth Mountains (Top of the World area) as a station for snowmobilers as a safety shelter and to rest, relax, warm up, and have fun.

More than a safety shelter, our warming hut plays host to our many days of adventure and fun. In January this is wear we host our Chili Feed event for CCSA members and snowmobilers. At the end of the season we head back down to the Bighorn Basin and wait for the snow to melt. In July we remove the shelter before the campground opens up to campers.
