The
back trail was cleaned on September 25th. Thanks to everyone that
was able to help. There was quite a bit of timber that had fallen across the
trail. We noticed that a lot of the back trail markers are missing off of the
trees so we will need to schedule another trip towards the end of October to
try to remark the trails.
Fall Highway cleanup is scheduled for Sunday Oct 9th,
we will meet at the Game check pullout at 9 a.m.
Safety Shelter cleanup is scheduled for Oct 23 the shelter is
stocked with wood. We would like to thank Bill Nielson for donating the wood
for the safety shelter again this year. We would also like to wish Bill a
speedy recovery on his illness. The cleaning may have to be done up on the
mountain. If we wait until the 23rd to haul the trailer up there may
already be snow again.
Bert has been able to acquire an Otter sled through Cabelas with the gift card that was donated back to the
club from Mountain Valley. The sled has been delivered and is in
currently in storage.
The club was asked to think of our charitable contributions this
year. It was motioned that we make a contribution of $1000 again this year for
up to 5 charities.
Bert gave an update on the meeting he had with the Park County
Wyoming Commissioners and Marty Malone out of Montana. Marty wants both Park
Counties to urge Yellowstone Park Service to plow the road longer in the fall
and earlier in the spring.
Bert updated the club on Access Wyoming. Currently the state has
$8000 in the account with $5000 budgeted to be spent. The club motioned that we
donate more money to Access Wyoming but did not come up with an amount.
There was also some discussion about whether our club should
have a budget each year. It was decided that this will wait until the president
and treasurer are back in town.
Jerry Bales won $23 in the 50/50 drawing,
he donated all of his winnings back to the club and requested that his portion
and the club portion be put into the Safety Shelter account.
Our
next meeting will be on October 5th at 6:30 p.m. at the Search and Rescue
Hall. We will have a carry in dinner.
Karla
Kelly motioned to adjourn, Lisa Bales second the motion. The meeting was
adjourned.
