Congratulations
to all of you! The Cody club sold the most raffle tickets again this year. We
also were able to bring home 5 of the 23 Cabelas gift cards. Congrats to Ed
Higbie & Mountain Valley Motorsports for winning two of the top three gift
cards. Our club also received $390 from the Ski-Doo Million $ club. This is
awesome for a club our size.
Fun
Days will be in Alpine next year. If you have never attended Fun Days you may
want to think about going next year. It really is a good time and a great way
to get to know your fellow snowmobilers from around the state.
The
trail markers were pulled this last weekend. Thanks to all of you who were able
to help. There is a possibility that we did miss a few markers so if you are
out there riding later this month and you happen to find a trail marker or two
please take it back to the Safety Shelter. Since there is so much snow we will
put the markers back under the trailer when we pull the shelter off of the
mountain this summer.
Highway
cleanup has been scheduled for June 5th. We will meet at the game
check station pullout at 9. Hope you can join us.
There
will be a meeting on Friday May 20th at 10:30 at the Community
Center in regards to plowing the road between Cooke City and Pilot Creek.
According to Kim Capron (the facilitator) this is supposed to be a fact finding
meeting. Bert has talked to the
commissioners and is hoping to have a meeting with them on May 10th
or 17th. Kim Rapp (the trail consultant for WSSA) has written a 3
page report that will be presented to our Commissioners as well as our club
members. There was a lot of discussion
and concern about what may come out of this meeting. Remember, Cooke City
doesn’t’ have the infrastructure to handle any additional business in the
winter time. Bert will also try to meet with the Chamber Board to see where
they stand on this issue as well.
Congratulations
to the new club officers:
President – Rob
Marshall, Vice President – Zach Hart, Secretary – Bryce Carroll, and Treasurer
– Michelle Young.
Brenda
Miller will remain the Wrangler reporter and the Web master for another year.
Carol Higbie also said that she would continue to be the meeting reminder gal.
Rob
Marshall won $26 in the 50/50 raffle. He donated his winnings back to the club
and requested that all of the money be put into the scholarship account.
Remember you have to be present to play.
Congratulations
to the winners of the “Club Participation” drawing: Jeff Mitchell ($250 gift
certificate), Brenda Miller ($150 gift certificate) & Bert Miller ($100
gift certificate).
This
was our final meeting of the season. Our next meeting will be September 7th
at 6:30 in the basement of the Search and Rescue Hall. I hope you all have a wonderful summer!
